The challenge is scale. U.S. healthcare still relies heavily on faxes and unstructured documents, including physician notes, clinical records, prescriptions, and diagnostic reports. Millions of documents move between providers, payers, and partners every day. Using UiPath Document Understanding™, agentic AI classifies incoming documents to determine exactly what type of record it is, from physician and nurse notes to prescriptions and imaging reports. UiPath Maestro™ then orchestrates the workflow, determining whether a document can move forward automatically or requires human review.
When human input is needed, UiPath Action Center routes exceptions to the right users for quick validation, edits, or approval—often taking only seconds. Once verified, documentation is placed correctly within the electronic health record, ensuring claims are submitted with the right supporting evidence.
