State of the Agentic Automation Professional 2025

Each year, UiPath Community surveys automation professionals to understand how they feel about their careers, how they’re adapting and adopting new technologies, and how they experience automation within their organizations. In many ways, the story remains consistent: automation professionals continue to be confident, adaptable, and optimistic about their futures. They’re actively building new skills to keep pace with rapid innovation.

This year, our focus shifted to agentic automation. Agentic automation integrates traditional RPA, artificial intelligence, and human decision-making capabilities to optimize operational processes. Three in four professionals are already using or experimenting with agentic automation, and most expect it to transform their work in the years ahead. From designing workflows for AI agents to focusing on higher-value, creative tasks, automation professionals are defining a new era of work.
