Protelindo Transforms Operations with AI-Powered Automation from UiPath
UiPath Platform helped Protelindo speed up business processes and enable a seamless migration for its SAP systems
Jakarta, [Month and date], 2025 – UiPath (NYSE: PATH), a leading enterprise automation and AI software company, today announced that it is transforming operations for Protelindo, a telecommunication tower and fiber infrastructure provider in Indonesia, through the use of the UiPath Platform.
Harnessing AI-powered automation for efficiency and innovation
As one of Indonesia’s largest infrastructure providers, Protelindo owns and operates approximately 35,000 telecommunication tower sites across the archipelago. Prior to the implementation of UiPath solutions, the company hired up to 30 temporary workers at one point to manage invoicing for more than 54,000 tower tenancies annually and approximately 56,000 fiber segments on a quarterly basis.
Having deployed UiPath solutions in 2020, Protelindo can now process the same number of invoices in just one week, instead of a month, and without having to hire temporary workers. Faster billing also resulted in quicker payment processes, which ultimately improved Protelindo’s cash flow.
Following the implementation of UiPath, Protelindo has continued to enhance business workflows with automation. Notably, it leveraged UiPath Test Suite, a test automation solution, to speed up its SAP S/4HANA migration. UiPath Test Suite helped Protelindo to rapidly test and ensure all its programs can operate smoothly after the migration process, preventing any potential hiccups. Automated testing covered approximately 400 transactions and reports, enabling the Protelindo team to shorten the SAP S/4HANA migration in half the time needed.
Toward a shared automation vision for the future
In addition, UiPath supports Protelindo’s holistic efforts to equip employees with relevant knowledge and skills to use the latest technologies such as AI and automation. In February 2024, Protelindo launched ProAction—an innovative initiative to train and educate non-IT employees on the benefits of automation. The two-month-long initiative featured a two-day workshop where employees learnt how to operate automation systems. UiPath supported Protelindo throughout the planning and execution of the initiative by sharing its experience in organizing similar events such as hackathons, and provided participants with access to StudioX, a platform that enables employees with no prior technical background or coding skills to automate repetitive tasks.
“We see automation as a strategic priority that will help drive Protelindo’s business transformation and growth,” said Tjin Tak Wong, Chief of IT, Protelindo. “Our collaboration with UiPath has been a significant factor in enhancing our operational efficiency and empowering our employees to maximize the potential of automation. With this support, we have been able to lay a solid foundation for Protelindo to optimize internal processes and deliver seamless services.”
“Protelindo is a stellar example of using automation to revolutionize the way we work and overcome business challenges,” said Richard Spence, Area Vice President, Growth Sales, Asia Pacific and Japan, UiPath. “We are proud to empower Protelindo’s digital transformation journey to accelerate the company’s growth. As we shift towards a new era of agentic AI, agentic automation is key to providing businesses the agility and speed needed to unlock new possibilities and business potential.”
